Robert Daryl Chambers, age 74 of Gallatin, passed away on September 9, 2025, at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, Tennessee. He was born on July 13, 1951, in Austin, Kentucky, and left an enduring legacy both in his family and in his professional life.
A dedicated employee, Robert worked in quality control at Alcoa from 1984 until his retirement in 2007. His commitment to quality and excellence was evident in his work, and he earned the respect of his colleagues throughout his distinguished career.
Education was important to Robert, who attended Western Kentucky University. His time at the university was foundational not only for his professional journey but also for shaping his lifelong passion for sports. An avid sports fan, Robert was an enthusiastic supporter of the WKU Hilltoppers, as well as the Cincinnati Reds, Atlanta Braves, and San Antonio Spurs. His love for sports was a significant aspect of his life, bringing joy and camaraderie to both family gatherings and friendships.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Janice Chambers; his daughter, Shannon Fox (Lee); his sister, Rita Anderson (Bill); and his cherished grandsons, Hunter Fox (Abby) and Conner Fox (Emmalin). Additionally, he is remembered by several nieces and nephews, whose lives he touched with his kindness and wisdom.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Chambers and Beatrice Carver Chambers, as well as his brothers, James Clifton Chambers and Jerry Dewayne Chambers. Their memories will forever be held dear in the hearts of those who knew them.
