Ronald Preston Boyle, age 80, of Gallatin, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.

Ron was born on December 28, 1945, in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late James Preston Boyle and Rosalie Clayton Boyle.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Edwards Boyle; his daughters, Michelle Nollner (Billy) and Kristy Hartsook; his grandchildren, Madyson Smith (Will), Makaylee Boldin (Eli), Brooklynn Versluis (Tanner), and Samantha Hartsook; and his great-grandchildren, Avery Versluis, Sutton Versluis, and Sterling Smith. He also leaves behind his brothers, Gary Boyle (LEisa), Rick Boyle (Deana), and Mike Boyle (Carol), and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

Ron had a deep love for his family. His whole heart belonged to his wife Linda, the love of his life, with whom he shared nearly 60 years of marriage. It was this devotion to Linda and his family that inspired him to fight through a long illness with unimaginable strength.

Ron was a true food enthusiast who had the rare gift of turning his passion into a business. As a saucemeister of gourmet sauces and seasonings, he brought his creativity, entrepreneurial spirit, and love of great food together in a way that reflected his unique personality.

A man who lived life with curiosity and adventure, Ron was once a captain of his sailboat and always loved being on the water. He was a Master Scuba Diver, embracing the world beneath the waves. He also had his pilot’s license and enjoyed flying his airplanes over the years. He loved to travel and experience new places, always seeking the next adventure.

Ron was a proud United States Marine, carrying with him the strength, determination, and sense of service and loyalty that came from his time in the Corps.

He was a man who loved well, yet also a lifelong prankster with a wonderful sense of humor. From his childhood, through friendships and even at every doctor visit, everyone enjoyed his ability to bring joy. Ron had a knack for keeping people on their toes, making them laugh, and creating memories that will be cherished forever.

Ron will be remembered for his abiding faith and trust in Jesus, deep love of his family, adventurous spirit, love of food, entrepreneurial drive, mischievous humor, and his willingness to live life fully. He leaves behind a legacy of stories, laughter, and unforgettable memories for all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

A service celebrating Ron’s life will be conducted on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Sumner Funeral & Cremation Lakeside, with Pastor Joel Wilkie and Pastor Bruce Chesser officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Interment will follow at Crestview Memory Gardens.
