Ronald Edward Cantrell passed away peacefully on September 14, 2025 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Ronnie was born on April 11, 1963 to Ronald and Barbara Cantrell.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Haley Cantrell, his loving mother Barbara Long, his sister, Vicky Cantrell Van Norstran, his sister Sandy Lee, his brother Eric Cantrell, 3 nephews, Daniel Van Norstran, Austin Cantrell and Jake Cantrell, 5 great nieces and nephews, Kaidyn, Londyn, Haisley, Axton, Everleigh Cantrell of Hendersonville. Also survived by his Aunt Colleen (Bill) Guest, cousin Stephen (Anne) Guest of Forth Worth TX , Uncle Roy Swift of Madison, TN and numerous cousins.

He is preceded in death by his Father, Ronald Cantrell.

Ronnie had more orange than a Tennessee tailgate and more confidence than a Vols fan in September! He loved Jesus like Neyland loved orange – loud, proud, and all in. If faith were football, he would be undefeated with a heavenly tailgate!

Ronnie’s Christmas spirit was so strong, he started marinating the ham in November, wearing a Santa hat like it’s part of his uniform, and giving gifts like he’s Oprah – ‘You get socks! You get barbecue sauce! You get a flashlight shaped like a reindeer! All while he is sneaking bites of chocolate oatmeal cookies when he thought nobody was looking.

Ronnie went to Disney like it was his personal pilgrimage—wore Mickey ears with pride, called the castle ‘real estate goals,’ and got so excited meeting Mickey, you'd think he was shaking hands with Elvis. By day two, he was signing autographs just in case someone mistook him for a character!" He loved Disney World almost as much as Walt.

Haley’s the kind of girl who could make her daddy smile in the middle of a Vols loss or a 3 hour wait at their favorite Disney ride. He loves her bigger than Neyland Stadium and deeper than a Southern sermon – she’s his greatest touchdown, his daily blessing, and the reason he knew Jesus has a soft spot for girl dads.

Ronnie’s family will have a private celebration of life.
