Ronald George Moltzan

February 22, 1936 — October 14, 2022

Ronald “Ron” Moltzan went to be with his Lord & Savior on October 14, 2022, at the age of 86 as a result of cancer. He died peacefully in his sleep at NHC Hendersonville, and had been under the loving care of Alive Hospice since July 12, 2022. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Wallane Moltzan; son, Keith Moltzan; granddaughter, Meadow Moltzan; daughter, Delaine Moltzan; grandson, Lake Lindsey; and brother, William Moltzan.

He was born on February 22, 1936, to William and Mildred Moltzan, now deceased. He grew up in Elk Mound, WI. Ron graduated first in his class from Elk Mound High School in 1954 and secured a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Minnesota in 1961.

His employment eventually took him to California, where he met the love of his life, Wallane, in Sunday School at Lakewood First Baptist Church. They met on Valentine’s Day in 1971 and were married November 20, 1971. They adopted two children in California as newborns – a son Keith in 1976 and a daughter Delaine in 1979.

Ron and Wallane enjoyed singing concerts together in California with a professional Christian group called The Bob Shepard Chorale, and then in a church group of six married couples they helped organize called Steeple People. They also participated in their church choir wherever they lived. Ron’s other interests were playing racquetball; fishing - both on land and in his boat; cooking; and gardening.

Ron loved the Lord and enjoyed serving Him since accepting Him as his personal Savior at the age of 21. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and will be missed by all who knew him.

A private family gathering is planned in lieu of a memorial service. If you wish to honor Ron’s memory, a memorial contribution may be made to Alive Hospice, 1718 Patterson St., Nashville, TN 37203, or on their website at www.alivehospice.org . They are a non-profit organization who were extremely helpful to us in our time of need.
