Roy Kenneth "Kenny" Waggoner, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025, with his family by his side. He faced kidney disease with quiet strength and grace, and spent his final months surrounded by those he loved most.

Kenny was born in Waverly, Tennessee on October 20, 1944 and raised in Hendersonville. He was a 1962 graduate of Hendersonville High School and attended Belmont University and Tennessee Technological University; he was a member of Holiday Heights Baptist Church.

Known for his gentle smile and unwavering love, he brought joy and humor to every room he entered. His grandchildren adored him, and he cherished the chance to hold his newest great-granddaughter. Family was his greatest treasure, and being with them brought him deep happiness.

He found joy in golfing, gardening, and keeping a perfectly manicured lawn. He was blessed with many lifelong friendships—bonds that stood the test of time and filled his life with laughter and support. His children, Traci and Brian, were his pride and joy; watching them excel through the years made him very proud.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Sherman and Naomi Waggoner; and brothers, Larry and Maxie Waggoner.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years , Lana S. Waggoner; children Traci Meador (Marty) and Brian Waggoner (Emily); grandchildren, Zach Meador, Nick Meador, Aschlen Bell (Brock), and Bryson Waggoner; great-grandchild, Emerson Bell; brother, Leslie Waggoner; and sister, Lynn Duncan. He also leaves behind many extended family members that he loved dearly. The family offers their sincere appreciation to the staff of Amedisys Home Health Care and Hospice, they were amazing through the last part of his journey.

He did not wish for a formal service, but his life will be honored in the hearts of all who knew him. Please keep his devoted wife in your prayers—she has been our rock through it all.
