It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Scott James Hamrick, who passed away on June 28, 2026, at the age of 40.

Scott was born on December 25, 1985, in Bethesda, Maryland. He confessed Jesus as his Lord and Savior and was born again on January 29,1995.

He lived in Germany and Virginia as a young child, but largely grew up in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Scott loved the Boy Scouts and was blessed to have so many fellow Scouts become lifelong friends. His Dad, Glynne Hamrick, backed him up as Scout Leader, he progressed from Cub Scout all the way to Eagle Scout. Scott graduated from Hendersonville High School before continuing his education at the University of Tennessee.

Scott was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished son, and loyal friend whose presence brought strength, laughter, and love to everyone who knew him. He lived life with passion and purpose, embracing every opportunity to support those he loved and to make lasting memories with family and friends.

Scott had a deep passion for bodybuilding and was dedicated to maintaining a healthy and disciplined lifestyle. He also found great fulfillment in his career in logistics, where his strong work ethic, determination, and problem-solving abilities earned the respect of those around him. He was also a true audiophile who appreciated exceptional sound quality and loved music, always enjoying the experience that only great audio could provide. Scott also loved to cook like a gourmet.

Above all else, Scott’s greatest joy was his family. He was an incredible father who loved his daughters beyond measure and a husband whose love and devotion will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

Scott is survived by his beloved wife, Mindy Hamrick; his precious daughters, Emily Hamrick and Caroline Hamrick; his loving parents, Judy and Glynne Hamrick; his brothers-in-law, Nathan Turner and his wife, Sarah Turner, along with their daughters, Macy and Ella Kate, of Knoxville; and Gary Turner and his sons, Britton Turner and Easton Turner of Knoxville. He also leaves behind many extended family members, dear friends, and loved ones who will forever cherish the time they shared with him.

Scott was truly full of life. His infectious smile, generous heart, unwavering determination, and sense of humor made an impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Whether he was spending time with his family, pursuing his fitness goals, enjoying high-quality music through his audiophile hobby, cooking a great meal, or simply spending time with friends, Scott made every moment count. He loved deeply, gave freely, and always put those he loved first.

A memorial visitation will be held at Sumner Funeral and Cremation Lakeside in Hendersonville, TN, on July 10th, 2026, from 3:00 to 6:00 PM.

Although his time with us was far too short, Scott’s legacy will live on through the love he shared, the example he set as a Christian, husband, father, son, and friend, and the countless lives he touched along the way.

He will be deeply loved, forever missed, and never forgotten.
