It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Steven Michael Wilson, who left this earthly life on May 6, 2026, at the age of 53. Born on November 9, 1972, in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, NY, Steven grew up surrounded by the vibrant energy of New York City and cherished lifelong friendships that began in high school and flourished through his time at SUNY Albany. 

A lawyer by training, Steven earned his Juris Doctorate from Hofstra Law in 1997 and began his career at the prestigious V10 firm, Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in New York City. He closed his professional journey at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP in Nashville, where he continued to inspire those around him with his dedication to the law and his unwavering support for his colleagues and clients. Having met In 1997, during Super Bowl XXXI festivities, over good food, great company and cold drinks, Steven met future wife Trina Taglialavore. Which would foreshadow a roadmap of their life together. Children, Tori and John were the blessing he never knew he needed, they were his eyes and heart in every way. Laying the foundation for their family in Long Island, NY before relocating to Gallatin, TN, in 2013, where they immersed themselves in the community, becoming involved in hockey, football, and cheer families. Steven poured his heart into supporting his children in all their pursuits, demonstrating the selfless love of a proud and devoted father. 

Steven's passions extended into traveling, an undercover foodie, cards with the guys, Pro-sporting events, Baseball, hockey, football, basketball, we did them all. On the homefront, he treated the pups like children, mastered grilling and landscaping, enjoyed golf, and gardening (he was all about the curb appeal), and could not pass up a good dad joke. With a radiant smile and a playful demeanor that only a Scorpio could, he brought joy to everyone around him. Those who knew him understood his heart was anchored in family and friendships, both of which he cherished deeply. 

Steven was greeted at the gates of Heaven by his beloved Grandma Lucy Russo, Grandpa Joe Russo, Sharon Taglialavore, Carol Bryan, Kyle St. Angelo, and his little buddy, Simba Lion. 

He is survived by his beloved wife, Trina, his cherished children, Tori and John, Paula and Mikey St. Angelo, his loving parents, Angelina Russo Wilson and William Wilson, his brother Andrew and family. 

A Celebration of Life gathering in honor of Steven will take place on May 28, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Bluegrass Yacht & Country Club in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Guests are invited to share their favorite memories, laughter, and stories as we come together to celebrate the incredible life of a man who touched so many. He embraced eat, drink and be merry!
