Terry Allen Mundy

Terry Mundy, age 77 of Hendersonville, passed away August 19, 2025. Terry was born on February 26, 1948 in Oakland, California to the late James and Kathy Mundy. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Jerry Daniel Mundy. 

Terry is survived by his wife of 42 years, Penny Wooten Mundy; daughters, Sundy Allison Mundy MacKorell (John, Sr.) and Shannon Marie Hodge (Neil Huffines); and grandchildren, Evan Michael Hodge, John Edward MacKorell, Jr., Ava Kathleen MacKorell, and Lillian Marie Huffines. 

A longtime Nashvillian, Terry was a 1966 graduate of Maplewood High School and grew up in the Hillhurst neighborhood of East Nashville. Terry worked in various aspects of the car business for over 50 years. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many who will be missed. 

A Celebration of Terry's Life will be held on Monday, August 25, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. from the Chapel of Sumner Funeral & Cremation Lakeside in Hendersonville with Bobby Williams officiating. Visitation with the family will be on Sunday, August 24, 2025 from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. and Monday from 1:00 P.M. until time of service.
