Virginia Dell Teague

Virginia Dell Teague, age 81, of Kingston Springs, TN passed away June 6, 2025 in White House, TN. She was born January 27, 1944 in Clayton, DE to Howland Kenneth and Rose Virginia Ellis.

Although Virginia had many accomplishments in her 81 years of life, she was most proud of to be a mother and a wife to Sydney Teague Sr. They were married on June 9 1962 until his death on February 23, 2015. They had six children, between Florida and Tennessee. She was active in the church for many years. She attended Park Ave. Baptist Church for 30 years, actively serving.

She loved writing poems, and making sure God got all the glory for her special gift of poetry. She loved reading her Bible and listening to the likes of Billy Graham, Charles Stanley and Jimmy Swaggert. She loved being with family.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Rose Virginia Ellis and Howland Kenneth Ellis; brothers, Elwood Ellis and Hansel Ellis; sisters, Selma Edwards and Helen Hollon; sons, Timothy and Jimmy Teague; and granddaughter, Steffany Elaine Cherry.

She is survived by brothers, Jimmy Ellis, KC Ellis, Stevie Ellis, and Howland Ellis; sister, Kina Ellis; daughters, Rosemary Teague and Kathy Teague; sons, Sydney Teague Jr. and Steve Teague (Kelly); six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

A celebration of Virginia’s life will be conducted at 12:00 p.m., Monday, June 16, 2025 at the First Baptist Church of Pegram with Pastor Randy Clark officiating. Burial will follow in the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 15, 2025 and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Monday.
