Wanda June Whitfield age 75 of Hendersonville passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at her home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at the Austin & Bell Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday from 12:00 - 1:00pm at the funeral home.
She was born on July 29, 1940 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Lonnie and Frances Elizabeth Phelps. She was of Baptist faith and retired from the Hotel Industry. She had an immense love for her family.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brothers, Curly Phelps and Charlie Gray.
She is survived by her sons, Ronnie Lee Whitfield of Nashville and Frank Randall Whitfield also of Nashville; daughters, Lisa Yvonne Whitfield of Hendersonville, Frances Kay (Lloyd Keith) Sanders of New Market, Alabama; sister, Patricia Bauman of Donelson; grandchildren, Eric Daniel Breeden, Nathanial Keith Sanders, Nora Kamille Sanders, Zachary Whitfield, and Ryan Whitfield; her best friend, Sherry Williams.
