William Thomas "Bill" Etheredge, age 88 of Hendersonville, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026. Bill was born on January 1, 1938, in Town Creek, Alabama to the late B.T. and Bertha Etheredge. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather whose life spanned a remarkable journey of faith in Jesus Christ as his lord and savior, professional accomplishment, generous devotion to his family.
Bill was a 1956 graduate of Town Creek High School, followed by a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alabama in 1966. His career was notable for his contributions to the United States space program, where he played a role in the ambitious race to the moon while working in Huntsville, Alabama. He later worked for Armstrong Tire in Natchez, Mississippi, before transferring to Hendersonville Tennessee in 1974, where he continued to demonstrate strong dedication and expertise in his field until retirement.

An avid golfer, he enjoyed the outdoors and the camaraderie that came with the sport, cherishing time spent with friends and family on the greens.
Bill is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Marilyn Etheredge, their son Troy Etheredge (Gretchen), and their cherished grandchildren, Caleb and Chase Etheredge. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him, as his kindness and wisdom left a lasting impact on many.
