William Haley Glasgow

William Haley Glasgow, age 82, passed peacefully on August 12, 2025 at his home, surrounded by his devoted family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Sherry Troupe Glasgow, his two sons, Lerson Eugene Glasgow and Christopher Scott (Rachel) Glasgow.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie Jean Glasgow, his father, Eddie Wyatt Glasgow, and his sister, Linda Ferguson. William is also survived by five siblings: Judy (Jimmy) Gleaves, Susie (Wayne) Bogle, Lonnie (Cindy) Glasgow, Teresa Floyd, and Ricky (Charlotte) Glasgow.

Known affectionately as Willie, Billy, or Beans, William was born in East Nashville, Tennessee, and spent most of his adult life in Hendersonville, where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors with his grandchildren. “Pa,” as they lovingly called him, adored his four grandchildren—Kiersten (Adam) Castro, Shelby Hunt, Parker (Lydia) Glasgow and Graysen Glasgow—and his three great-grandchildren—Baylor, Becca and Wyatt.

If you were lucky enough to call him your friend, then you had a true friend indeed.

In accordance with William’s wishes, no formal service will be held. The family appreciates your love and support during this time and encourages you to remember him in your own way—whether through a quiet moment outdoors, a shared story, or simply holding his memory close.
