William Earl Hall

William Earl Hall, a beloved husband, community member, and dedicated insurance broker, passed away on June 1, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on August 26, 1942, in Des Moines, Iowa, William made the vibrant city of Hendersonville, Tennessee, his home in 2002. 

Bill enjoyed a distinguished career spanning over 55 years in the insurance industry, earning the prestigious title of Property Casualty Underwriter. His commitment to service was evidenced by how often he was the first choice of contact from insurance agents seeking to place insurance for their clients. As he always said, “Be honest in your dealings with people,” and he lived this commitment. 

A lifelong Chicago Cubs fan, Bill remained a staunch supporter no matter what the team stats were. Added to that was a passion for the NY Times crossword puzzles and reading mystery novels. His fondness for owls and dragons reflected his appreciation for both the wise and the whimsical, characteristics that resonated with his own wry sense of humor. 

Bill was married to his bride, Diann, and together, they enjoyed nearly 30 years of companionship.

William was preceded in death by his parents George and Cora Hall, and his brother, Robert. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Diann Reece Hall, her daughter Sara Jones and her husband Russell Jones, and grandchildren Logan and Evan.
