William Emmons
Marcum
Dec 9, 1961 — Oct 20, 2026
Gallatin, Tennessee
William Emmons Marcum, known to family and friends as Bill Marcum, was born in Columbus, Ohio, in 1961 to Roy and Marie Marcum. In 1968, his family moved to Hendersonville, Tennessee, where Bill would grow up, graduate from Hendersonville High School, and build a life filled with family, music, and the things he loved most.
Bill had a strong connection to music and served as the music director at New Hope Baptist Church during the 1990s. He also dedicated 34 years of service to the United States Postal Service, demonstrating a commitment to his work and community throughout his career.
Outside of work, Bill found joy in the open road. He loved riding his Harley-Davidson and had a special appreciation for Ford Mustangs. Above all, one of his greatest joys in life was his grandchildren, who held a special place in his heart.
Bill is survived by his son, Andy Marcum, and daughter-in-law, M’Call; his beloved grandchildren, Maybri, Macon, and Mary Collins; and his sisters, Patty Shrewsberry (Chuck) and Rose Fruedenthal (Richard).
Bill’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, and the moments they shared will remain treasured for years to come.
Please join the family in honoring Bill on Sunday, October 25th, 2026, at 2:00 PM during a graveside service at Beech Cemetery in Hendersonville.
