Willie "Billy" Parker, born on January 1, 1965, bid farewell to his earthly journey on July 14, 2024, at his home in White House, Tennessee. He was known for his remarkable career as General Production Manager at Tyson for over 24 years. Billy's warm and loving nature touched the lives of many, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Hailing from McComb, Mississippi, Billy's passion for cooking extended beyond the confines of his professional life. He was famously recognized as the designated cook for every holiday gathering, showcasing his culinary skills with finesse. His love for grilling and smoking various meats brought joy to countless family and friends throughout the years.
Aside from his culinary talents, Billy found immense pleasure in working on vehicles and golfing. His penchant for entertaining others reflected his bigger-than-life personality and caring disposition. Whether he was behind the grill or on the golf course, Billy's presence illuminated the room with warmth and laughter.
Billy peacefully departed this world, leaving behind a treasure trove of memories that will be fondly remembered by his surviving family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Shelley Parker; children, Heather Parker Stewart (Ben), Cody Parker (Jessica), and Cole Parker (Lauren); grandchildren, Kinsley, Karlie, Maddox, Beau, Finley, and Rhett; and best friend who was a brother to him, Troy Williams. Billy was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Alton Parker; mother, Barbara Edith Bryant Coker; brother, Eddie Wingate Jr.; and sister, Yvonne Wingate.
A visitation to honor Willie "Billy" Parker's life will take place on August 4th at Sumner Funeral & Cremation Lakeside in Hendersonville, Tennessee from 1:00 - 2:00 P.M. The Celebration of Life service will follow at the same location at 2:00 P.M. with Tyson Chaplain, Pastor Sam officiating.
